The Office of International Affairs (often known as OIA) serves thousands of international students affiliated with Pratt each year from over seventy countries, who represent more than a third of our Pratt student body. We provide advising and services to international students and alumni at the Pratt Brooklyn and Manhattan campuses, and also work with Pratt Munson international students and J-1 exchange visitors. We’re in charge of reporting and compliance duties related to hosting international students and scholars in the United States.

OIA aims to assist international students in making successful transitions to the United States, Pratt community, and to their lives as alumni post-graduation. We provide direct support with immigration issues, employment authorization, personal issues, and cross-cultural events, and help address challenges that students might encounter during their academic careers. OIA supervises the work of the Pratt International Student Association (PISA).
