The Office of Admissions

The Office of Admissions is open weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM from September through May, and from 9 AM to 4 PM in June, July, and August. The Office of Admissions is  located in Myrtle Hall, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn campus. Myrtle Hall is the first left past the main gate entrance.

Applying to Pratt Institute and PrattMWP

Applications are welcome from all qualified students. The Admissions Committee bases its decisions on a holistic review of all credentials submitted by the applicant. Acceptance decisions shall be made without regard to race, color, sex, marital status, age, ethnic or national origin, religion, creed, sexual orientation, or status as a veteran, political beliefs, genetic information, or citizenship in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Admissions files are not considered complete and will not be reviewed until all required materials have been received.

Pratt Institute accepts undergraduate first-year (high school applicants) applications only through the Common App.  College transfer students apply using Pratt's online application hosted through CollegeNET.  Pratt's online application for transfers, link to the Common App for high school students, as well as various require­ments, may be found at Apply. See Pratt Undergraduate Admissions for instructions on submitting your application and supporting documents. Note: Pratt has a Test-Optional Policy for high school seniors. This is described under High School Admissions Requirements.

Applications for PrattMWP, Pratt's extension site in Utica, New York, are submitted through Pratt Institute's undergraduate application as well. You may apply to both or to only one campus.  

Fall Admission Deadlines

Early Action:

  • November 1 (high school applicants only; non-binding)

Regular Admission:

  • January 5 (high school applicants)
  • February 1 (transfers)

Spring Admission Deadlines:

  • September 1 (recommended for international applicants)
  • October 1 (domestic applicants)
