Textiles, Minor
The Textile Minor offers core textiles classes such as weaving, knitting, fabric dyeing and printing to understand fabric composition and structure, along with a menu of electives including advanced textile technologies and sustainable design practices for further exploration into specified areas of the textile design field. Armed with the knowledge gleaned from these classes, students of all disciplines will be able to apply principles and techniques of textile design and manipulation to their own creative projects. The textile minor will not only provide fashion students with a broad range of textile electives but will also serve a wide population of students outside of the department. This program is open to all majors.
