Sustainable Environmental Systems, Advanced Certificate
*Starting Fall 2024
The nine-credit Advanced Certificate in Sustainable Environmental Systems provides students from any discipline or field with a curriculum focused at the intersection of science, policy and design, via courses examining the scientific, design, and policy frameworks, systems management tools and approaches that underlie transdisciplinary sustainability practices, as addressed through the lenses of systems thinking and environmental and climate justice. Developed from the curriculum of Pratt’s rigorous, STEM designated MS in Sustainable Environmental Systems program, the Advanced Certificate is available both to those pursuing a Pratt graduate degree in any discipline and wanting an additional credential upon graduation, as well as those interested in a stand-alone certificate to enhance career options or to use as a bridge to a graduate degree. Students may pursue a concentration in a number of systems tools and approaches, or focus on policy or economic frameworks.
